Bridge Course for Alimiyat
Course Overview
An intensive Bridge course designed to provide candidates with the necessary tools for pursuing further studies, essentially equipping them with the fundamentals of Islamic studies. Upon completion, the candidate will be offered admission into the Alimiyyat program. This course is offered via a cloud-based learning management system where candidates from across the globe will be able to join virtual lectures (live and recorded), chat with fellow students (peers?), pose questions to facilitators/scholars, take exams, conduct research, and more..
Bridge Course of Alamiyat helps students with fundamental knowledge of Islam which is an obligation upon for every Muslim to acquire.
This course unfolds the in-depth knowledge of the core basic principles of Islam incorporated by Imam Nawawi in his Book “Nawawi’s Forty Hadiths”. These Ahadith will be taught using contemporary examples and a wide range of reference works in Islamic literature.
Objectives of the Course
Upon completion of the Course, candidates will be able to:
– Acquire a basic understanding of Quranic studies.
– Acquire a basic understanding of the science of Hadith.
– Understanding the meaning, importance, and authenticity of The Sunnah.
– Acquire a basic understanding of Fiqh and the principles of Fiqh (Usul ul-Fiqh), including the history and development of the major schools of thought in Islamic Jurisprudence.
– Learn about and discuss the life of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) Seerat Un-Nabi) with an emphasis on its relevance to the contemporary era.
– Learn vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension of classical Arabic, including the proper reading and writing of the arabic script.
– Practice the basic principles of Islam.
– Improve their character according to the Prophetic way.
